AT HOKO WE MAKE ULTRA-TECHNICAL CLOTHES

BUT BEHIND HOKO THERE IS MUCH MORE

BECAUSE WHEN ONE BUYS SOMETHING ONE ALSO MAKES A DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES

THAT'S WHY WE WANT TO EXPLAIN A LITTLE MORE ABOUT WHAT OURS ARE:

BECAUSE WHEN ONE BUYS SOMETHING ONE ALSO MAKES A DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES
THAT'S WHY WE WANT TO EXPLAIN A LITTLE MORE ABOUT WHAT OURS ARE:

LOCAL PRODUCTION

HOKO was Joaquín's way of coping with losing his livelihood.
It was 2009 and the general context was one of crisis, which also affected the textile industry locally.

A sector that was gradually being reduced to nothing, as production was shifted to other countries whose prices could not be competed with.

Joaquín was alone in the first years.

Today, Joaquín is no longer alone; there are more of us on the team, and we continue to manufacture entirely in Maresme.
Costs aside, there are only advantages.
Although costs are a significant factor, when you've worked in a sector your whole life, you meet many people who make a living from it, and you also know their stories.

Therefore, continuing to manufacture locally responds to certain principles

Of belonging
From community
Of gratitude

MAXIMUM DURABILITY

If we were given a penny for every time someone told us our clothes last a long time, we wouldn't be rich, but we'd have a good handful of pennies.

It's the fault of the polypropylene and also the fact that it is a continuous fiber.

We chose him for other reasons, more technical, more focused on sports; his technical skills are unbeatable.

But over time, with experience and information, we saw that durability was a great feature of the material.
So,
Our strategy has been to maximize this, improving other parts of the garments to this level, so that they last in perfect condition as long as possible.

We know that durability is not as cost-effective as other more common approaches in the industry.
But again

Because we believe things should serve their purpose as best as possible and last as long as possible, this is and will always be our approach.

REBELLION

Why are we different?

REBELLION is the answer, that is our conclusion.

That things have to be a certain way.
That is, the best way to produce is the cheapest and therefore, it is better to produce abroad.
To work with the best materials and the most expensive techniques, the garments have to cost a fortune.
I mean, when you lose your job at 50 in the middle of a crisis, you're lost.
That is, only large companies that sponsor large figures can make great products or innovate.
That more value is placed on what the sports star of the moment says than on what Paco or María say, who also sweat, also train in cold or heat, and also put in the miles.

And so many more things…

And they all come down to one thing: doing things in ways that help make the world a little more like how we would like it to be.
